Four courses are available for direct service providers that satisfy the annual training requirement found in OAC 5123:2-2-01. These courses are located within the Eight-Hour Provider training, and require you to enroll in the course before accessing to the annual training.

VIEW COURSES




This course satisfies requirements located in OAC 5123:2-2-01 (C) for independent providers and (D) for agency providers for service documentation and billing for services.

Community Integration

This course can be taken on it's own or as part of the Eight-Hour Initial Provider training. One unit of adult services, county boards member, or SSA CPD is available after successfull completion of this course. The certificate of completion authorizes the community integration rate modification associated with the Adult Day Support and Vocational Habilitation services.

This recorded webinar covers the differences in prevalence of cancer and cancer screening rates among DD population served by Ohio DODD and Non-DD Medicaid population. Knowledge of the data presented will help service providers and county boards think about ways they can help increase the cancer screening rates among eligible DD population.

This course takes an in-depth look at employment navigation, part of the requirement found in OAC 5123:2-5-02, service and support administration certification standards.

Completion of the five modules in this course satisfies annual training requirements found in OAC 5123:2-17-02. Topics include review of MUI/UI rule, 2019 rule changes, review of 2018 health and welfare alerts, immediate actions, MUI investigations, choking prevention, and fall prevention.

One hour of CPD credit for adult services, county board member, SSA, superintendent, and investigative agent available.

This course reviews the Individual Assessment Form.

The Individual Assessment Form (IAF) is used to determine how much direct support a person who lives in an intermediate care facility needs from care staff, including nurses. Certified ICF assessors who are familiar with a person’s daily needs will assess their personal care abilities, and behavioral and medical needs.

The IAF training certifies someone to perform the IAF assessment.

The Nursing Documentation course reminds providers, RNs, and LPNs of documentation requirements established by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Nurse Practice Act. The course includes topics such as goals of documentation, documentation that meets Medicaid reimbursement criteria for nursing services, and documentation practices related to proper communication among licensed providers, RN supervisors, and physicians.

Completion of the course qualifies for one CEU credit hour from the Ohio Board of Nursing.

The Outcome Tracking System (OTS) application is replacing the Employment First Outcome Tracking System (EF OTS) application in October of 2019. The Employment First Outcome Tracking System will close on June 14, 2019.

This in-person training is for County Boards, Adult Day and Employment Providers, and ICFs. Three unit hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are available in the areas of superintendent, adult services, or service and support administration.
