Reviews the Ohio Department of Medicaid's 2022 report on the health and welfare of people with developmental disabilities. Eligible for two (2) CPD units in the area of Investigative Agent. Two hours long.

Choking and Fall Prevention

This course includes topics such as choking risk factors, high-risk foods, food preparation, diet textures, supervision, choking prevention strategies, information for supervision staff, how to address food-seeking behavior, fall factors, and how to prevent falls.

This course includes definitions of Unusual Incidents (UIs) and Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs), reporting UIs and MUIs, and a review of the types of UIs and MUIs.

This course is a part of the Director of Operations and Administrators of Licensed Residential Facilities training program and covers topics such as creating a culture of health and welfare, understanding unusual incidents (UIs) and major unusual incidents (MUIs), and types of UIs and MUIs.

Universal Precautions

This course includes a review of universal precautions, including hand washing,  exposure and clean up, respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette, personal protective equipment (PPE), handling sharps, and handling contaminated items.

Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) and Magnet

Includes seizure first aid, care and use of the vagus nerve stimulator (VNS) magnet, and how to document seizure activity. Qualifies personnel to activate a vagus nerve stimulator.
